SeniorNet is a volunteer based not-for-profit organization dedicated
to the education of those aged 50 years and over in computer and communications
technology to enhance their lives. Founded in
.On April 4, 2008 - SeniorNet celebrated the Grand Re-Opening of its The Computer Lab at The Family Service League’s Don Weidman Computer Learning Center in Huntington. The celebration was attended by many of those people whose support is necessary to keep this project happening for the benefit of seniors and their friends and families. Thanks to grants we have been able to reequip the lab with computers, a ceiling projector, a laptop, Vista operating system, new software, and network wiring. Our thanks reach out to the sponors - Susan Berland of the Town of Huntington, Andrew Raia of the NY Assembly, and Jan Cooper of the Suffolk Legislature.

SeniorNet Huntington at The Family Service League is the premier learning center on Long Island. Since its debut in Huntington in 1999 this center, named for its founder, Don Weidman, more than 4400 seniors received training in courses ranging from basic computing to digital photography and music and the computer and everything in between.
